You'll work on a small team in the Huffington Post newsroom in New York City, using math and | |
computer programming to help readers explore and understand the data behind the news. You'll | |
pitch, design and develop data-driven news stories, interactive databases, and static, interactive | |
and real-time graphics. | |
You're passionate about finding and telling stories through data. You have good news | |
judgement. You have experience working with a modern, dynamic programming language | |
(Python, Ruby), web development technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript), visualization libraries | |
(Raphael, D3) and a solid understanding of statistics and statistical software (R, Stata). | |

information design and web development to help readers explore and understand the data | |
behind the news. You'll pitch, design and develop graphics, interactives and news applications. | |
We're looking for a visual journalist who has experience with front-end web technologies (HTML, | |
CSS, Javascript), data visualization and mapping tools (Raphael, D3, Processing, WebGL, | |
TileMill). | |
You have good news judgement and a solid understanding of current events and American | |
politics. You're excited about pushing the boundaries of online storytelling through databases, | |
maps and data visualization. | |
