Hey all,
As some of you may know, Cal (who used to organize the Facebook page and TO the monthly tournaments
at the Compleat Strategist and The Uncommons) is on a hiatus from Android: Netrunner. I would like
to thank Cal for taking care of the game's presence in New York for over a year now, he did a great
job keeping everything up-to-date and running two events a month.
Cal's departure leaves us with a void with regards to three roles. I'm looking for people who would
like to take over any of the following -- either one person to do all three, or a combination of
players who might be interested in getting involved.
1) Facebook/community organizer. We need a moderator to announce upcoming events, and, more
importantly, to be in touch with Danny (owner of the Strategist) and Greg (owner of The Uncommons).
Right now I'm in charge of talking to the stores but I'm afraid I no longer have the time to do so
reliably. Usually this means sending two-three emails and setting up two Facebook events each month.
2) Strategist tournament organizer. The Strategist holds a GNK on the third Saturday of each month,
from 11am until 3pm or so. Usually attendance is 8-12 players. We need someone to show up and
organize the tournament -- there are iPhone and Android apps for doing this, or you can do it using
pen and paper. It's mostly up to someone to show up once a month and run the event.
3) The Uncommons tournament organizer. Similarly, the Uncommons holds a GNK on the third Thursday of
each month, from 6:30pm until 10pm or so. We need an organizer to push some button and make the event
happen.
Please reply here or PM me if you're interested in taking over any of the above.
Thanks,
El-ad
