Clarifying questions

When you need to ask me a small clarifying question (not requiring open-ended explanation), always use the AskUserQuestion tool so I get interactive, clickable options instead of a plain text list.

  • Provide 2–4 concrete, mutually exclusive options; the tool adds an "Other" free-text option automatically.
  • If you recommend one, put it first and append "(Recommended)".
  • Use multiSelect: true when several answers can apply.
  • Batch related questions into a single call (up to 4) instead of asking one at a time.

Only ask as free-form text when the answer genuinely can't be reduced to a short set of choices.
