* Besides that we're Ruby fans and we actively use Ruby for a lots of things why should we use Ruby and Rails besides server-side Javascript frameworks (like node.js)? Will we benefit anything if we keep on using Rails or should we move to a language/tool that is common to clients and servers too?
* is there any way to easily represent / transform our models (validations / associations / etc.) to client side? (besides Backbone.js)
* why sproutcore?
* what works for inspiration? step away from your desk, walking, sleeping?
* do you miss ruby?
* how consistent are you doing testing-development cycles? are you a purist applying bdd, agile methodologies or do you have your own rituals you can share?

  • How do you keep track of what's happening in Ruby / JS / Tech? How much of it is Twitter, RSS, Stack Overflow / Quora, talking to others?
  • Can you tell us a bit about your pre-Ruby days? Afaik, you were working with .NET. What was your best career path decision and do you regret anything looking back now?
  • What do you think of university education in the US? Does it help find bright people and live up to their potentials or does it deter people from being hands-on and taking part of the community and self-improve?

  • You talked a bit about where rails is going and where you think it needs more work (compared to Node.js). Do you think it's possible or it will be possible to work with Rails in a non-blocking way? The same way Node.js apps function and what Goliath tries to accomplish.
