👍 this was a big help for the devs on my team that aren't comfortable with Vim! Thanks, man, cheers.
I'm using a 64 bit version of notepad++. Do I need to change anything besides the Program Files path?
thanks a lot , i searched very much but this was helpful
I added the location of sublime_text.exe to the system Path variable, followed by: git config core.editor "sublime_text"
Probably too late but if you are running a 64bit version, I would say you run this:
$ git config --global core.editor "'C:/Program Files/Notepad++/notepad++.exe' -multiInst -nosession"
thanks! it worked!
thanks it was very useful
If you use session backups, you may want to follow the advice at the bottom of this thread about the nosession flag messing up the main instance of notepad++
