Load this into your QGIS WMS server dialog and you should have access to the layers of the http://www.globallandcover.com/GLC30Download/index.aspx
Note that GetCapabilities returns an invalid hostname, so this config ticks the "Ignore GetMap/GetTile URI" box for you.
