Feedback III Reflection

  • What are you doing well as a pair programmer and collaborator?

    • A few of the things that I seem to be doing well in pairings include carrying my share of the work load, holding a clear understanding of the projects and being able to work in a range of styles. Not supprisingly I have been paired with a wide range of personalities, work styles, and understanding levels. In every case I have been able to be a segnificant contributor to the project and help drive it in the right dirrection. I feel that all my pairings have gone quite well.
  • How do you use your strengths as a team member?

    • I have found my strengths to be a real positive in my pairing projects. My learner strength and my ability to learn quickly have allowed me to carry a high level of understanding going into most projects. This has been helpful in getting the projects out to quick starts. While my adaptive strength has allowed me to adapt to the working style of my partners. For some projects we have been able to break them up and tackle them seperatly bringing all the peices together at the end, while with other's we have worked on virtually the whole project side by side in a diver navigator fashion. Finally my achiver strength has ensured that every project gets done all the way to the end.
  • How would you like to continue to develop your strengths?

    • I would like to continue to use my strenths to the maximum in which they can. Being that practice makes perfect just continuing to pair as well as being aware of my strengths should help them to continue to develope.
  • What would you like to improve on as a teammate?

    • The biggest thing I would like to impove on as a teammate is communication. I can have a hard time stating an approach I see to logic in a clear manner. At time I even just say give me 10 min and just have to pound out some code and come back to explain it later. I should take more time to white board my idea and make sure partners are ok with the approach before it goes into the code base.
  • How would you like your teammates to see you?

    • I would like my teammates to see me as an open easy to work with person who is a leader within a project. I often feel like I help my team increase their understanding about the code or even design principals and I hope I am seen that way as well.
