6g of beans per 100ml water (ex. 500ml water for 30g beans)
- Pour double the amount of water as you have beans (60g water in case of 30g beans)
- Wait ~30s (maybe longer if your beans are not super fresh) ... also called blooming
- Pour more water until you've reached 50% of the target amount of water (250g in case you have 30g/500ml beans/water)
- Wait until all water has drained from the filter
- Pour more water until you've reached ~75% of the target amount of water (400g in case you have 30g/500ml beans/water)
- Wait until all water has drained from the filter
- Pour more water until you've reached 100% of the target amount of water (500g in case you have 30g/500ml beans/water)
- Wait until all water has drained from the filter
- Enjoy!
You can vary the recipe quite a bit by changing the speed with which you pour the water. Slower pouring will usually lead to a stronger brew. Try playing with the pouring "speed".
