This session will explore what the crew at Snowbird had in mind when they crafted the four values and twelve principles. We will highlight some of the tools, practices, and habits that help increase a team/organization’s agility and relate them back to the source - the Agile Manifesto.
Using small group activities, we will identify participants dominant DiSC behavioral style and explore the impact which that has on team dynamics. Through the magic of a JavaScript coding exercise we will demonstrate:
- How communication affects team dynamics & trust
- Focusing on the User in a User Story to deliver customer value
- Adapting to changing requirements
- Inspecting and adapting to customer needs to keep them delighted

I've been developing software for many years and had an agile awakening eight years ago. Since then I've been using the Scrum framework to rapidly deliver software to customers, collaborate with then and deliver on their product vision.
Allison Pollard will be co-presenting. She has been helping teams discover their agile instincts for over eight years. Allison is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach through the Coaches Training Institute.
A starter project with any files needed for the JavaScript exercises and a completed, working example will be available on github.com. Users will be able to participate with a text editor and a web browser or simply follow along.
