You know, most people use ChatGPT like a search bar.
They drop in a question like “What’s a good blog title?” — and then wonder why the answer sounds... kind of boring.
And that’s understandable. Most people haven’t been shown what ChatGPT is actually capable of.
But here’s the truth: ChatGPT is so much more than just a Q&A tool.
If you take just a few minutes to set it up properly, it can actually learn your voice, understand how you work, and start to feel like your smartest personal assistant.
I’m Sherrill Mosee — I’m the inventor of MinkeeBlue, and founder of Forest Park AI.
And in this video, I’m going to show you exactly how to set up ChatGPT so it works for you — not against you — and how to unlock a few powerful features most people don’t even realize exist.

But let’s also talk about what not to share.
❌ No personal info like your address or ID numbers.
❌ Don’t put in bank accounts or payment info.
❌ Avoid confidential business plans or trade secrets.
❌ And please — no legal or health case details.
❌Also, avoid strong opinions that you might not want saved.
Because if memory’s on… it remembers.
Just treat it like a smart assistant, not a diary.
Let me show you how I use memory in real life.
I might say:
“Remember that my brand is called MinkeeBlue, and my audience is busy women on the go.”
That’s it. Just that one line.
Now fast-forward a few days — or even a few months.
“Write a blog outline about traveling lighter.”
And just like that, it brings back a response that sounds like me.
It includes my brand, my tone, and even my audience — without me saying it again.
That’s memory doing its job.
And honestly, this one feature alone saves me so much time when I’m writing content, brainstorming ideas, or creating something for my business.
Getting great results from ChatGPT starts with asking the right way.
This is my go-to formula, and I use it every single day:
-Role
–Task
–Context
–Output
So instead of saying:
“Plan a retreat”
I say:
“You’re an event planner. Create a checklist for a 3-day women’s leadership retreat in Miami. Include agendas, speaker ideas, and networking activities.”
See the difference?
One is vague, the other is detailed.
And ChatGPT loves detail.
You’re not being too picky — you’re being specific. And that’s what gets results.
Now let’s talk about the tools:
If you click the little paperclip icon inside ChatGPT, you’ll see this menu pop up.
You’ve got options like Add photos and files, which lets you upload things like PDFs or spreadsheets — and ChatGPT can pull info directly from them.
Then there’s Create image — which uses AI to generate custom visuals based on your prompt.
Web search lets you get up-to-date info from across the internet — super helpful when you're looking for current trends or stats.
Deep research is great for summarizing long articles or academic papers — it’s like having a researcher built-in.
And if you connect your Google Drive, OneDrive, or SharePoint, you can have ChatGPT work directly with your own documents — no downloading needed.
All of these tools live inside ChatGPT now — and when you use them together, it’s like having a full team in one place: your writer, designer, researcher, data analyst — and assistant.
So now that you know how to structure a good prompt…
Let’s take it up a level.
These are what I call “prompt boosters” — simple phrases you can add to your request to get a much better response.
Here are a few of my go-to boosters:
🔹 “Act as…”
Tell ChatGPT who it should pretend to be.
Example:
“Act as a legal advisor for small business contracts.”
Now it's answering like an expert — not just a general chatbot.
🔹 “Ask me questions before answering”
This is a great one when you’re still figuring out what you want.
It lets ChatGPT clarify first instead of jumping in with a guess.
🔹 “Give me 3 variations”
Perfect for content like headlines, product names, or captions.
Instead of giving one idea, it gives you options to choose from.
🔹 “Think step-by-step”
This is gold for walkthroughs, processes, or planning something complex.
It helps ChatGPT break big tasks into smaller, logical steps.
Now let’s compare
On the left, we’ll use a vague prompt:
“Help me write a business plan.”
On the right, we add boosters:
“Act as a startup advisor. Ask me questions before answering. Then write a short business plan in steps.”
Big difference, right?
More relevant. More structured. More helpful!
A few final tips from me:
📝 Keep a “Prompt Bank” — somewhere you save your best prompts so you’re not reinventing the wheel every time.
🔁 Always iterate. Don’t like what ChatGPT gives you? Ask it to rephrase, add more detail, or change the tone.
❓ Use follow-ups. You’re allowed to have a conversation with it — not just one-off prompts.
⚙️ Combine ChatGPT with other tools — for emails, content, even automations. You’ll be amazed how much you can streamline.
So now you know how to set up ChatGPT, how to train it, and how to actually get the most out of it — all while keeping your data protected.

If you want more power — things like expanded memory, faster image creation, file uploads, and even tools like Sora video generation — you’ll want the Plus plan, which is $20 a month.
And if you're really going deep — creating content, doing research, working with custom GPTs — there’s the Pro plan at $200 a month. That gives you max access to everything:
unlimited uploads, deep research tools, Codex agent, and even access to early AI features before they launch.
So depending on how much you’re planning to use ChatGPT, it’s good to know what each plan includes.
People often ask, “Can I train ChatGPT to think like me?”
Not exactly. You’re not uploading massive datasets or code like the engineers at OpenAI. That’s not what this is about.
But what you can do is personalize ChatGPT — so it gets to know your preferences, yout it also shows ChatGPT still needs you to be specific.
It doesn’t know your tone, your audience, or your goal.
So your results might still come out sounding generic… robotic… or just off-brand.
Now watch this.

And in this video, I’m going to show you exactly how to set up ChatGPT so it works for you — not against you — and how to unlock a few powerful features most people don’t even realize exist.
So what kinds of things should you actually share?
✅Start with the basics:
✅Your name or brand.
✅The tone you like to use.
✅Topics you work on regularly.
✅Ongoing projects.
✅Even your audience — like “busy moms” or “early-stage founders.”
This gives ChatGPT a foundation to build on — kind of like onboarding a team member with your brand style guide.
There are a few settings here you’ll want to know about:
General — This is where you can set your theme (light, dark, or system default), your default language, and your voice.
It doesn’t affect how ChatGPT thinks — just how the app looks and sounds for you.
Data Controls — Now this part is important. If you’re on the free plan, your conversations may be used to help improve the model.

You can set yours up however you want!
Maybe you want ChatGPT to sound bold and playful, or maybe super formal and detailed — it’s totally up to you.
Once this is set, ChatGPT becomes more than a chatbot — it becomes your partner who “gets” your tone, your goals, and your style.

But if you’re on the paid plan, you can turn this off. Just go to Settings → Data Controls → and toggle off “Improve the model for everyone.”
Connected Apps — If you use Google Drive, OneDrive, or SharePoint, you can link them here.
