fh6-safe-splash — Steam launch wrapper that disables NVIDIA Streamline (NVIDIATech/DLAA/Reflex) per-launch to fix Forza Horizon 6 crashing at the Splash scene under Proton
#!/usr/bin/env bash
#
# fh6-safe-splash — Steam launch wrapper for Forza Horizon 6 (appid 2483190)
#
# FH6 crashes at the "Splash" scene under Proton when the NVIDIA Streamline
# stack (NVIDIATech / DLAA / Reflex) initializes during D3D12 setup — a startup
# race in the graphics-allocator path. This wrapper forces those settings OFF
# in the saved graphics config *before* each launch, so the game always boots
# past the splash. You can re-enable DLAA/Reflex in-game once you're in; they'll
# be reset to safe again on the next launch.

bluejorts / Running TouchDesigner on Proton 10.md

Running TouchDesigner on Proton 10 (Linux) — fix for mimalloc/DWrite hang, plus Spout2PW setup

A guide to running TouchDesigner under Proton 10 (GE-Proton 10, Proton-CachyOS, etc.) on Linux using umu-launcher or faugus-launcher, including Spout2PW for video output to OBS.

As of GE-Proton 10-32 and TouchDesigner 2025.32460. This may be fixed in future Proton or TouchDesigner releases.

The Problem

TouchDesigner runs fine under Proton 9 (e.g. GE-Proton9-27) but hangs on Proton 10. It shows the loading window for the default project, the loading animation freezes, and it stays unresponsive until killed.
