- separate keyboard and mouse (your 12th hacking hour self will thank you)
- mifi device
- mifi's power supply (usb is better)
- dongle to vga output
- (network) patch cable
- ethernet dongle
- usb hub
- water bottle
- deodorant (your 12th hacking hour self and fellow coders will thank you)
- towel (you might be lucky and the event location may have showers!)
- flannel (you might be unlucky and the event location doesn't have showers)
- write a script, keep it handy and easy to edit. i was editing my script right up to point when i was called up to do my demo. you can see my script here:
- find out how to enable display mirroring for your operating system. it looks like more a/v rigs use this mode.
- tell the stage staff as soon as possible your requirements i.e. audio, video, over head camera (i believe in the trade it's called the 'visualiser')
