Creating a 2-of-3 multisig address

To generate a 2-of-3 multisig address you will have to pass a different flag to the faucet tool. There is also an extra step once you've generated the wallet details for each authorized signer (3 in total). You will need to retain all the generated information for the indiviudal signers, as well as the multisig address. Failure to do so may result in the loss of funds.

Generate public keys

First, you will need to run the following command for each authorized signer:

$ ./faucet-tool createaddress --show-keys

You can expect output similar to below:

You must keep each seed phrase and private key secret and secure. Failure to do so could result in the loss of funds.

Generate multisig address

As displayed above, the --show-keys flag displays the key pair used to derive the address. Because you wish to generate a multisig address, we will not actually use the individual addresses generated. Instead, we will use the public keys to create the multisig address. Once you have generated 3 separate public keys you can run the below command to create a 2-of-3 multisig address:

$ ./faucet-tool createmultisig 2 <pubkey1> <pubkey2> <pubkey3> --project-sponsor

You can expect output similar to below:
