Assess your habits from week 2: how did you spend your time this past week? What was effective in your habits? What could be more effective? What steps will you take to make that happen?
I feel that I got too confident with being able to understand and parse out what we’ve been studying - I slowed down pre/post-teaching and have noticed some more gaps in memory. However it’s hard to find the time. Balance is difficult.
I’m fully engaged, but I can feel the burnout.
When have you been excited, focused, and enjoyed your work? When have you felt bored, restless, or unhappy? When do you feel energized in your work? When is your energy drained?
I’ve felt bored when there is no challenge in whatever fashion, no further goal. I feel energized when I’m bought in.
Block out time on your calendar this week to work on your job search. When will you make this happen? How will you hold yourself accountable to this? What activities will you focus on during this time this week? What outcomes do you hope to reach by the end of this week because of these activities?
I have begun looking at job descriptions and trying to imagine myself where I’d like to be. Honestly, it’s quite hard to dive deeper than that with looming projects, lessons, meetings, etc, etc, etc. I imagine, though, that purposeful time can be set aside. Perhaps even thirty minutes over two days a week could help. Applying wayfinding to using job search resources
I like to use google and glass door, though I think it’s always fun to find a job posting inside of dev-tools on some site
Apply wayfinding: of what you looked at, what did you discover that aligns with your vision? If it didn’t align with your vision, what will you try next? Decide what tools to bookmark to explore later.
Yes, some openings at a meditation app I’ve used for many years (Headspace)
What next steps will you take to explore that opportunity and find contacts? Add that information to your Huntr card.
I should read into the technologies listed and see if it’s part of curriculum. Reach out, explore the public employees.
