This is as expected: Exit code 143 means that the inner program (sleep
in your case) has received a SIGTERM.
Possible to automatically have $signal_name match the actual signal recieved?

Sadly this is not working as expected for me. Running this, I do always get exit code 143. my_long_running_process is just sleep
