Instructions for installing an MS Excel add-in

  1. Download the .xlam file of the add-in of interest

  2. Save to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns
    Usually this will translate to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns

  3. Open Excel

  4. Click File > Options

  5. Select the Add-Ins pane

  6. At the bottom of the dialog, in Manage: select Excel Add-ins and click Go...

  7. Check the box next to the name of the add-in of interest (here, CSV Exporter) and click OK
