# What we do

Vouch is solving this multi-trillion dollar consumer finance challenge by creating technology and services for consumers to help each other permanently climb up the credit ladder and get control over their own financial freedom.

Our first product – a fixed-term consumer lending platform – is aimed at giving low-FICO consumers a path to building or fixing your credit. Credit is the first and most important step to getting a leg up in life, but it’s also an area where some established players have done more harm than good to their customers.

At Vouch, we’re building a way for your friends and family to help direct your trustworthiness – creating a socially-focused way to look at lending. We help customers build a network of trusted friends and family – people who would vouch for them in times of need by creating a way of looking at creditworthiness that spans beyond your FICO score because we understand you are more than your credit score.

# What you’d do
As a product designer, you would be responsible for looking at the product and design challenges that affect our user base and designing creative solutions to these complex problems across platforms.

Responsibilities include:

## User experience and visual design 
You care about the details of interaction design and strive for a good user experience. You understand the opportunities, limitations, and conventions of the modern web and you’ll use this knowledge to build a high-quality product that helps people achieve financial independence.

## User research 
You’ll conduct feedback sessions to investigate product problems and test solutions with real users. You’ll proactively reach out to users and can use both quantitative and qualitative data to make informed design decisions.

## Front-end development 
You have a good understanding of HTML and CSS and can closely collaborate engineers to bring your designs to life.

## Design across platforms 
You understand that product design across platforms means experiencing a design where your users will experience it. You’ll use the range of tools at your disposal to communicate your design and bring it from solution to prototype to live feature across mobile and desktop platforms.

# Brand design 
As a new startup, we’re continuing to develop our brand both within our company culture and in the way we present ourselves to customers. You’ll have huge influence on the Vouch brand’s look and feel.

# Skills and experience 
- Familiarity and experience with HTML and CSS required. Rails and Javascript experience a plus. 
- 3-5 years experience working as a designer in technology companies recommended. - Proficiency designing across different platforms and media. 
- Experience designing social systems and employing behavioral concepts a plus.
