 Hey folks! 

 Give me just 2 minutes of your time for a quick request. 

 I’d like to encourage everyone here who has an ongoing product meeting/relationship to periodically send out notes or updates from your meetings to the entire CDA group. @Sarah Drasner pioneered this model with the Functions team meeting, and it has proven to be highly beneficial in several ways…

 1.	The rest of the CDA’s can easily see the most important items about all of our products. 
 2.	Your relationships become highly visible. 
 a.	The engineering/product teams see that they are visible in the CDA org and they all want that
 b.	It will help us track impact as we look back through all of the great things we’ve done with our feedback and relationships.
 3.	We are a remote team, so over-communication is key to helping us stay connected

 Here are some tips we’ve found work quite well for providing clear updates.

 Be Consistent
 If you meet every two weeks, send an update every two weeks. A consistent cadence of updates becomes like a heartbeat for the perceived health of the product relationship.

 Structure
 Put no more than 3 things that everyone needs to know about at the top. Try to do it in one sentence for each thing. Something like…
 
 Things all CxA’s need to know about

 •	We are collecting customer feedback about Python and AppService and we need you to fill out this form by this Friday.

 Everything else

 Any other details that aren’t super important to everyone else, even though they may be near and dear to your heart.

 Use Mentions
 Use the mention feature of Outlook (@) to tag specific people that you have important information for. These mentions also pop-out while scanning and people look for their own name.

 Embed Important Slides/Images
 If you have a slide deck from the product team or images to share, embed those. The images will draw people’s eyes, even if they don’t read all of the details.

 It does take time to write-up these updates, but that is time well spent, and the health of our product relationships will demonstrate that.
