Zikra ("the app") is a flashcards and spaced-repetition study app published by Revolve Software. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
Zikra does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. Everything you create — decks, cards, images, and study history — is stored only on your device.
All of the following stays on your device and is never sent to us:
- Decks, cards, and any images you add
- Your study history, streaks, and statistics
- App settings and preferences
If you delete the app, this data is removed with it. The developer has no access to it.
Zikra includes optional AI features (generating decks and explanations) that are off by default. To use them, you provide your own OpenAI API key, which is stored securely in your device's Keychain and is never sent to us.
When you actively use an AI feature, the text you choose to generate from (for example, a topic or a card's front and back) is sent directly from your device to OpenAI to produce a result. That request is governed by OpenAI's own privacy policy (https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy). Revolve Software does not receive, process, or store this text. If you never enable AI features, no data leaves your device.
- Notifications (optional): used only to show local study reminders on your device. No notification data leaves your device.
- Photos (optional): used only so you can add images to your cards. Images are stored on-device and are not uploaded anywhere by the app.
Zikra does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
