Scanwell is designed to scan and organize documents without collecting personal data. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
Scanwell does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal data. The app does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party data-collection SDKs. There is no Scanwell account.
Scanned pages, imported files, recognized text, document names, categories, and other document information are processed and stored on your device. OCR, image enhancement, smart organization, and supported AI features run on the device. Scanwell does not send document contents to WiseApps AI servers.
If you enable iCloud sync, Apple CloudKit stores your Scanwell data in your own private iCloud database so it can synchronize across your Apple devices. WiseApps AI does not operate this storage or receive your documents. You can disable sync in Scanwell settings. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and terms.
Premium purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Scanwell receives transaction and entitlement status from StoreKit but does not receive or store your payment-card details.
Scanwell requests access only when required for a feature you choose to use:
- Camera access is used to scan documents.
- Photo or file access is used when you choose content to import or export.
- Reminder access is used only when you ask Scanwell to create a reminder.
These permissions can be changed in the Settings app on your device.
Diagnostic information generated by the app is stored locally. It is not uploaded automatically. You may choose to export and share a diagnostic report when requesting support.
You control the documents stored by Scanwell. You can delete individual items in the app or remove the app and its local data from your device. Data synchronized through iCloud can be managed through your Apple account and devices.
Scanwell is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from children or any other users.
This policy may be updated when Scanwell's features or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when an update is published.
