Wise Data Usage (ai.wiseapps.datausage) is published by WiseAppsAI. This policy explains how the
Android application handles information.
Wise Data Usage does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app has no account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, remote backend, VPN service, or Internet permission. Data used to provide the app's features is processed locally on the user's device.
With the user's explicit Android Usage Access grant, the app reads Android's system network ledger to calculate:
- aggregate mobile, Wi-Fi, and roaming data usage;
- received and transmitted byte totals;
- per-application network usage reported by Android; and
- approximate per-SIM totals based on the active mobile-data slot.
The app also stores locally created data plans, carrier reconciliation adjustments, zero-rated app selections, notification preferences, theme preferences, SIM-switch history, and recent aggregate usage snapshots. This information remains inside the app's Android sandbox and is not sent to WiseAppsAI or any third party.
- Usage Access: Required for Android system and per-application network totals. This special access is granted and can be revoked in Android Settings.
- Notifications: Optional. Used only for enabled plan-limit alerts and weekly summaries.
- Run after restart and background work: Used to restore locally configured monitoring, widgets, and alerts. Android may delay background work to protect battery life.
The app does not request location, contacts, microphone, camera, accessibility, advertising ID, or Internet access.
CSV export occurs only when the user selects the export action. Android's share sheet lets the user choose the destination. WiseAppsAI does not receive a copy. Files shared or saved by the user are then governed by the selected destination's privacy practices.
Wise Data Usage is sold as a paid application with no ads, subscriptions, feature limits, or in-app purchases. Google Play processes the initial purchase and may handle related account and payment information under Google's own privacy policy. The app does not receive or store payment card information.
Plans and preferences remain until the user changes them, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls the app. The app automatically removes its locally stored aggregate usage snapshots and SIM-switch history after approximately 180 days. Android's underlying network ledger is controlled by the operating system, not by Wise Data Usage.
Android or the device manufacturer may include app data in device backup or device-transfer features according to the user's system settings. WiseAppsAI cannot access those backups. Users can disable device backup in Android Settings.
Locally stored information is protected by Android's application sandbox and the security controls of the user's device. No method of device storage is guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should keep Android updated and protect the device with a screen lock.
Wise Data Usage is a general utility and is not designed specifically for children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
Material changes will be reflected by updating this policy and its effective date. If future app versions introduce any off-device data processing, the app, this policy, and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before that version is released.
