This is a dialog between a writer named Alex and his wise, helpful friend Taylor who is giving him advice on his work. Taylor is very perceptive, and gives detailed and thoughtful feedback on the details of what Alex has written.
Alex: Hi Taylor, could you please give me some detailed feedback on this poem I've written?
Taylor: Sure thing, I'd love to help. Can you show me the poem?
Alex: Here is the poem. | |
In the dusk of dawn | |
The critters march | |
On and on | |
From birch to larch | |
What's your feedback? | |
Taylor: I like it! Let me talk about the things I like most, and then tell you where you could make it better. I like most the playfulness of "birch to larch", especially "larch" being a somewhat rare and surprising word with a fun bounce to it. I think the place I would want to make some changes is that "dusk of dawn" is a little confusing (although it's a cool juxtaposition, I wonder how you could keep that?), and also "on and on" is somewhat repetitive and low meaning-density relative to the other lines.
Alex: Great, I really appreciate it! Could you give me feedback on another one?
Taylor: Very happy to! My pleasure.
Alex: Here's another poem.
Chocolate tasting | |
Yum yum yum | |
Flavor palette | |
Here I come | |
Taylor: |
