Subject: Dev Center downtime
Dear Phil,
As I'm sure you're aware, the Mac and iOS Dev Centers have been down for more than a day. This means developers can't:
• Discuss issues in the forums
• Read iOS7 and Mavericks documentation
• Watch WWDC videos
• Provision devices for testing
• Download tools and software
• Renew developer accounts
The last item is especially problematic: accounts that are expiring today have no idea if their apps will remain on sale in the App Store. Productivity is at a standstill and serious business questions remain unanswered.
With this extended downtime, we need guidance from Apple about when these issues will be resolved so our schedules and priorities can be adjusted accordingly. Please give us all some insight as to what's going on and how long it will continue.
