New Machine Setup Guide

Pre–install

  1. De–authorize Apple ID from iTunes
  2. De–authorize Adobe CS Suite
  3. Backup user home folder to a external drive

Install

  1. Boot to a thumb drive with the most current Lion Install
  2. Use disk utility to partition and erase drive
  3. Install Lion

Post–Install

  1. Set trackpad and mouse tracking speed to the highest
  2. Change computer name to something clever
  3. Sync data from MobileMe and replace data on computer
  4. Press control+F7 to all tabbing controls
  5. Turn off Dim when using Battery
