GDLeap Steam Insights is a Chrome extension that adds a compact market-insights panel to Steam app pages.

Information the Extension Handles

The extension reads the Steam app ID and page title from Steam app pages where the extension runs. It requests public Steam appdetails data for that app ID to show the current USD price.

The extension can also read Gamalytic game-page stats when the user opens a matching https://gamalytic.com/game/<appid> page. This includes estimates such as copies sold, gross revenue, total revenue, and price when available.

How Information Is Used

The extension uses this information only to display Steam price and Gamalytic market estimates for the Steam app currently being viewed.

Fetched values are cached locally in chrome.storage.local for 48 hours. The cache reduces repeated public requests and helps the panel load faster. Users can trigger a refresh from the panel.

Information Sharing

GDLeap Steam Insights does not send collected data to a GDLeap server. It does not sell data, transfer data to data brokers, or use data for advertising.

The extension requests data from Steam and Gamalytic over HTTPS so it can provide its visible user-facing feature. Steam and Gamalytic receive the normal web requests needed to answer those endpoint calls.

Remote Code

The extension does not load or execute remotely hosted JavaScript.

Limited Use

GDLeap Steam Insights' use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
