Close roof vents and windows (except those left open for ventilation)

Secure all loose items in the RV including:
- Bathroom counter
- Kitchen counters
- Bedroom headboard
- Tables
- Window sills

Latch shower, closet doors, and all cabinet doors

Latch refrigerator doors
-
Turn off all propane appliances except for refrigerator

Discard all trash
-
Check fresh water supply and fill if low

Check motorhome mirrors, and adjust if necessary

If traveling with pets, make arrangements for their needs

Turn on water pump (after disconnection from shore water!)

Make sure coach door is deadbolted
-
Disengage parking brake
OUTSIDE
- Dump Gray and Black Water tanks if necessary
- Verify tanks are 2/3 full
- If one tank less full, fill with water until equal
- Put on gloves
- Remove hose and lay out
- Verify both valves are closed (pushed all the way in)
- Open cap and connect hose to tank. Yank to verify good connection, no wobble
- Look for kinks in hose
- Remove cap from dump tank and insert hose (if no connection, make sure it descends 6” or more)
- SECURE THE HOSE INTO THE DUMP (using a rock or heavy object)
- Open GRAY WATER tank valve for a few seconds and verify flow is clean and NO LEAKS
- Close GRAY WATER VALVE
- Refill GRAY WATER tank to 2/3 full
- Open BLACK WATER VALVE
- If hose is not level, after flow stops be sure to lift in sections walking toward dump to empty hose
- Close BLACK WATER VALVE
- Open GRAY WATER VALVE to flush hose
- Close GRAY WATER VALVE
- Disconnect hose from RV
- Connect Tank Cap
- Disconnect remove hose from dump
- Stow hose in RV
- Verify all tank valves closed
- Add treatment chemicals and a small amount of water to black tank
- If generator was used, check oil (SAE 30)
- Disconnect shore power
- Shut off breaker
- Plug breaker end back into generator
- Stow electrical cable
- Fill fresh water tank
- Disconnect and stow sewer hose and accessories (cover hose with plastic bags and rubber bands)
- Disconnect and stow water hose in a sanitary compartment
- Collect and store all items from outside the RV (chairs, mats, toys, etc.)
- Visually inspect under the RV for debris or personal items
- Check overall exterior of RV for protruding items
- Latch and lock all external RV compartments
- Perform a final walk-around
- Leave marker in RV spot if returning (commonly a table, chairs, or a vehicle)
