Computers, servers, or other devices necessary for software development. (This can be capitalise depending upon the spent amount generally we do capitalise the same if it exceeds 10k HKD)
Any peripherals (monitors, keyboards, etc.) or networking equipment used in development.
Charges for cloud infrastructure, hosting services, or virtual machines used in development, testing, or deployment.
Database services (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database).
Cost of professional development, courses, or certifications related to software engineering.
Attending conferences, workshops, or seminars related to programming languages, frameworks, or software engineering methodologies.
Subscription fees for project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
Collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
Expenses for testing tools or platforms (e.g., Selenium, Postman, TestRail).
Payment for testing services or third-party QA providers.
Travel costs for on-site client meetings or software development events, if applicable.
Hotel or accommodation costs related to business trips for development.
If software engineers are involved in creating demos, presentations, or marketing materials for the software, expenses related to these activities might be eligible.
Depreciation on purchased equipment, such as computers, servers, and other hardware used in the development process.
Rent for office space where software engineering work takes place.
