Great function. Thanks for sharing.

I added:

     if(!input) {
            input = "";
        }

on the beginning of the isValidIBANNumber Functions, so it is working with an empty input as well.

Two suggestions:

1. This is Typescript. You should type your returns and your inputs
2. isValidIBANNumber should return a boolean, not a number, so you should return this.mod97(digits) === 1
