No recruitment agencies please. Yes, we know you’re different to all those other agencies that call unsolicited. It’s not you. It’s us. Sorry
We are looking for a PHP developer to assist with the delivery of content-managed and bespoke websites at our offices in the centre of Bath.
You are happiest in code, executing front-end templates and design ideas in PHP and working in a modular, methodical fashion.
You love PHP and whilst an enthusiastic problem-solver, you’re pragmatic about not reinventing the wheel when it comes to engineering solutions in code. You’ll work happily and collaboratively in a team environment, be confident speaking directly with clients and appreciate both a damn fine cup of coffee and an eclectic range of music.
As well as building new sites and web applications you’ll be helping to support our existing client sites, predominantly built on ExpressionEngine but also Perch, Craft and very occasionally Wordpress. Whilst wedded a to a specific range of frameworks and CMS at present we are open to suggestions going forward if it will help our technical delivery.
Mud is a small but perfectly formed creative web agency, shortlisted last year by Net magazine for Best New Agency. We are web native, focusing on quality user experiences and exceptional quality code that delivers beautiful, responsive websites across a range of devices. We recognise hard work but understand the need for a healthy work-life balance. We love what we do and hope you will too. We enjoy quarterly dev days and try to get out for team food and drinks at least once a month.
You will be working as part of the development team at Mud with technical director Cole Henley and two front-end developers. Contract is initially for six months and will need to be on-site.
Salary offer in the region of £30-40k depending on experience (pro-rata).
Apply with CV and covering letter, including links to Github and last.fm profiles (if applicable)
