Javascript Engineer @ Storify.com
var reqs, skills, passion;

passion = require('change_the_world_of_storytelling');
/**
We are looking for talented + well-rounded developers to
join storify.com's core engineering team. We are young,
funded and picking up a lot of momentum. We run a pure
Javascript stack, from node.js on the server, mongodb on the
backend and jQuery on the browser. We are also
fanatics about HTML5 and CSS3.
A few of the challenges we have ahead of us are: building
our developer network, scaling our systems, building more
robust storytelling tools and increasing collaboration and
sharing. We also have big plans for the iPad.
So here is the deal, you don't have to be an
expert node.js guy, but if:
* You are smart
* Have built a couple of node.js projects on
the side (shown real interest)
* Have a track record of building complex
(with simple interfaces) web properties from the ground up
using other languages (individually or as a team)
* Have great communication skills (can get along with
the team) and
* You are passionate about your work
Then email us! We don't get stuck on specific knowledge
that you can probably pick up in a couple of days,
but we do look for passion and sense of ownership.
Our developers here are very independent and multi-talented,
we each have ownership of different parts of the ecosystem.
However, we all share responsibilities across the entire
infrastructure. From the front-end (HTML5/CSS3), back-end server
(node.js) to even database work (MongoDB).
You'll be exposed to everything.
If the above sounds good then email us at:

*huge tip: develop something using our template api
