- Permanent notes fleeting notes are supposed to become permanent notes. You should expand your ideas, by criticizing and developing arguments. It should be written it as if you were trying to expose your ideas to someone else.

You should be able to make notes based on (somewhat) atomic ideas. Notes should form a tree, and it's achieved by linking them together. Only the root notes should appear in the index — you can create new roots when it becomes its own thing.
Apparently you’re supposed to create “relationships” between notes in horizontal proximity who aren’t siblings. -> It’s not clear how!
