Here are some local Austin places worth checking out that's somewhat near the hotel. I'll add more to the list when I have time.

FYI: There's no Uber or Lyft in Austin, but Fasten is a decent replacement.

Downtown Austin

• Second Bar + Kitchen
• Swift's Attic
• Péché (Favorite cocktails)
• Chi'Lantro (South Lamar location has more variety)
• The Ginger Man (Large selection of beers on tap)
• Houndstooth (Favorite coffee)
• Caffé Medici (More coffee)

South Congress

• Hopdoddy (Favorite burger)
• Home Slice Pizza (NY-style pizza)
• Hotel San José
  • No food, but their back patio is great for relaxing and grabbing a drink

South First

• Sway (Favorite Thai food)

Rainey Street

Street with a lot of great places to grab drinks + food trailers

• Via 313 (Detroit-style pizza, my favorite)
• Craft Pride (Lots of beers on tap)

South Lamar

• Chi'Lantro
• Uchi
  • Favorite restaurant
  • Worth checking if they have a social hour at 5PM (Uchiko on North Lamar does)
  • If they do, I would try getting there at 4:45PM and reserving a table
