The Division of Computational Linguistics at the University of Tübingen, Germany is involved in the construction of research infrastructures for language resources and technology at the local, national, and European levels. For the CLARIN and CLARIN-D projects, we are searching for a computer scientist or computational linguist with expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas: (scalable) web services, web applications, linked data, user interface design and implementation, including usability and user experience.

Programming experience in Java (or another object-oriented language) are required. Good command of German and good communication skills in English are expected.

An M.Sc. in Computer Science or a Ph.D. in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, or related field is required.

The starting date for this full-time position is June 1st, 2015. The initial period of appointment is until May 31st, 2016, with the possibility of renewal subject to follow-up funding.

The position is at the rank of 'Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter'. The salary is determined by the German civil servants standard (Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L) and ranges from 42000 to 52000 Euro per year, depending on the successful applicant's experience.
