DTR For Brownfield of Dreams

Group Member Names: Daniel Moran & Margo Flewelling

Goals and Expectations for the Project:

  • Goals - tbd. Will be reviewing project first.
  • No self merging to master
  • Will be resolving merge conflicts via github.
  • Communiting will be done live over calls.

Team strengths & collaboration styles (consider discussing your Pairin qualities here):

  • Both:
    • Like a healthy mix of paired and solo work time.
    • Will be setting designated work times together that are not paired.
    • Remind each other to take regular breaks. :)

Schedule Expectations (When are we available to work together and individually? What constraints do we have?):

  • Daily stand-up 15mins before class. (@ 8:45)
  • Both like to take a break after class.
  • no coding at lunch.
  • Both ending "work" days around 830pm-9:00pm

Communication Expectations (How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open? How will we make decisions as a team?):

  • Slack: Expecting response anywhere from 5-15 mins. If 20mins pass. Feel free to follow up.
  • If you're stuck, reach out for help sooner rather than later.
  • Will be setting Timeline/goals as a team.

Workflow Expectations (Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests/Debugging and Problem-solving Techniques):

  • Don't merge your own PR
  • Fill out the PR template (unless it's a super small change - just alert the group on Slack so someone can merge it)
  • Check in with each other daily on progress if needed.

Expectations for giving and receiving feedback:

  • Give feed back over call.
  • Be reseptive.
  • Feed back can also be about how we could do better as a pair.

Project management tools we will use (GitHub Projects and Trello are popular tools):

  • We're using Github Projects - the board is already set up.
