I suffer from dyslexia and dyscalcula.Those of us that have such learning disabilities are taught to respond a tad bit slowly in order to overcome the disability or disabilities. | The aging process does not affect all people the same. Many old people panic or deny that anything has changed. If Trump was a family member, he would have plenty of time alone, as people would be uncomfortable around him, sort of a Major Hoople on steroids. But Biden is fighting his lapses, and the harder he tries, the worse, that he over reacted and sounded confused, as he rushed through statements, that he had apparently memorized in advance. Unfortunately, having been around a lot of seniors, his manner is common and it does not improve. The idea that he could withstand four more years is transparently unbelievable. The Biden team can kid themselves, but I don't think the general public is buying the "bad night" idea. What we see is the new Joe Biden, and he is a great person, who should have the humility to step down. | |

There is nothing wrong with an older person recognizing that age has slowed them down, but the presidency of the United States is a grueling job even for a younger person. Many situations can and do arise that require the president to go without sleep or to make important decisions even in the middle of the night. It's part of the job description. | |
