I moved to Durham after I finished graduate school because I believed in the technology industry based in the Triangle. 
As a web developer, however, I am concerned that the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect IP Act (PIPA) will 
change the Internet as we know it for the worse and they would adversely affect companies in the Triangle like the one 
I work for. I think SOPA/PIPA would do more to limit free speech then they would to solve the piracy problem on the 
Internet. I believe we do need better legislation to protect IP but [PIPA/SOPA] is far from the answer. So I ask you to
please do whatever you can to oppose SOPA/PIPA.
