Setup multiple SSH keys for GitHub EMU accounts

Setup multiple SSH keys for GitHub EMU accounts

1. Create a new SSH key

We'll first generate a new SSH key, by running:

ssh-keygen -t rsa -b 4096 -C "[email protected]"`

Lightly "sandboxed" homebrew on macOS

brew is a bad neighbor

This isn't a guide about locking down homebrew so that it can't touch the rest of your system security-wise.

This guide doesn't fix the inherent security issues of a package management system that will literally yell at you if you try to do something about "huh, maybe it's not great my executables are writeable by my account without requiring authorization first".

But it absolutely is a guide about shoving it into its own little corner so that you can take it or leave it as you see fit, instead of just letting the project do what it likes like completely taking over permissions and ownership of a directory that might be in use by other software on your Mac and stomping all over their contents.

By following this guide you will:

  • Never have to run sudo to forcefully change permissions of some directory to be owned by your account

Golang encrypt file using GPG openpgp. Use standard go libs.
package main
/**
Example hack to encrypt a file using a GPG encryption key. Works with GPG v2.x.
The encrypted file e.g. /tmp/data.txt.gpg can then be decrypted using the standard command
gpg /tmp/data.txt.gpg
Assumes you have **created** an encryption key and exported armored version.
You have to read the armored key directly as Go cannot read pubring.kbx (yet).

A hacky way to create a dynamic list of maps in Terraform

# Here's the hack! The null_resource has a map called triggers that we can set to arbitrary values.
# We can also use count to create a list of null_resources. By accessing the triggers map inside of

Creating Table of Contents by reading the folder and file structure of a git project

toc.py

This script reads the structure of your git project to create a markdown table of contents. You can use the output of this script to add a TOC to the README of your project.

Example folder structure:

.
β”œβ”€β”€ Test
β”‚Β Β  └── README.md
β”œβ”€β”€ Test2
