git fetch -p && for branch in `git branch -vv | grep ': gone]' | awk '{print $1}'`; do git branch -D $branch; done

Minor modification to work across locales:

git fetch -p && for branch in `LC_ALL=C git branch -vv | grep ': gone]' | awk '{print $1}'`; do git branch -D $branch; done
