Before I learned about Github Does Dotfiles, I wrote my own workstation, Since then, I've looked and I like the way skwp/dotfiles's dotfiles are layed out, but like the theming from xero/dotfiles's. I've got a fork in deanrather/dotfiles.
I haven't yet finished testing / implementing / merging the things together yet. This note is so I can pick up where I left off.

This guide will take you from zero webserver knowledge, to having your own free site hosted on GitHub. The only non-free bit is registering a domain name, which can be as cheap as $5/year.
This guide uses CrazyDomains as the Registrar, FreeDNS as the DNS, and GitHub as the Webserver.
