Easy docker setup for ubuntu

Note : Requires ubuntu 16.04 or newer

Step - 1: Install docker-ce, the right way

sudo apt-get remove docker docker-engine docker.io

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install \
    apt-transport-https \
    ca-certificates \
    curl \
    software-properties-common

curl -fsSL https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu/gpg | sudo apt-key add -

sudo add-apt-repository \
   "deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu \
   $(lsb_release -cs) \
   stable"

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install docker-ce

Test it with hello-world

sudo docker run hello-world

Docker setup for Windows 10

Download latest docker setup file

Follow the Install Wizard: accept the license, authorize the installer, and proceed with the install.

Test it with hello-world
