Aha just found your post that says "I've turned this into a simple plugin here: https://github.com/heyfletch/make-elementor-default-editor"
I have not found it yet, but can you add that to the WP plugin repository? Then maintain it if it breaks with WP and Elementor updates?
I'm sure many would find this very useful and less confusing for people having to use the Edit with Elementor links
OK just tested the plugin version following teh instructions, crashed a new WP site with Elementor - error
"There has been a critical error on your website. ..."
Adding the code to my functions file works.
This wasn't working for me. Which function.php file I'm supposed to add this
This wasn't working for me. Which function.php file I'm supposed to add this
It could be in any function.php and still work. I should be in your child theme function.php for obvious reasons.
Still works great in 2024. Put this in a theme or plugin in its own file alongside your theme's functions.php or plugin's main PHP file and simply include it.
Is there an opposite way? I wanna disable the Elementor UI completely on post editor interface, I want to use the default Wordpress editor.
This works well, but how susceptible is it to not working as updates to WP or Elementor are released? Would be a good and simple plugin that gets updates as needed.
