Save Bees while maintaining & improving the new "Existing Communities" Nouns Builder feature
Description
The Buzzed Bee DAO has 2 very clear objectives.
All surplus ETH generated from Auctions can only be used to directly help IRL bees.
Bees are cute 🐝
They also happen to be extremely important for our ecosystem.
In order to further incentivize bidding, the Buzzed Bee DAO will allow Buzzed Bee NFT holders to use their Bee to claim a high-quality, handmade, Bee Themed tshirt. The Bee shirt will also feature an embedded secure chip to implement the EIP-5791 standard in order to link the physical item to our beloved chain.

This tshirt addition means that for every settled auction, the Buzzed Bee DAO incurs some fixed costs. To make sure the DAO is ETH positive, the auction reserve price will be set at the cost of goods (incl. worldwide shipping). Any aditional ETH above the auction reserve price will be allocated to save Bees.
Details on the Tshirt
Initially, everything tshirt related will be executed using the existing Buzzed Bear Hideout DAO infrastructure. The Buzzed Bee DAO reserves the right to end this relationship, change providers, or modify/end the initiative at any time.
Fixed and Predictable costs:
- Initial tshirt design costs, paid directly to a designer
- Fabric, paid directly to the provider
- Hand Assembly, paid directly to craftsman
Variable & Unpredictable costs:
- Worldwide Shipping
- Overhead (5%-10%)
Overhead is added in order to build a small treasury to handle any unpredictable costs (shipping issues, production issues, etc...).
All ETH related to tshirt development, production, and shipping will be managed transparently & onchain (when applicable).
We are extremely confident that the inclusion of this high quality physical item will bring more bids & ultimately, help more Bees.
Our Queen Bee
The Existing Communities feature will allow any DAO created using the nouns builder to seed an initial list of members.
This feature will allow any off-line, on-line & on-chain community to easily migrate into the nouns-builder ecosystem, infinitely expanding the target audience potential.

All 20 ETH from this round will be allocated to (1) continue the development, maintenance and improvements of the "Existing Communities" feature (devs, designers, etc...); and (2) any DAO maintenance costs (tool subscriptions and such);
The Buzzed Bees DAO will be the first Nouns Builder DAO to use the Existing Communities feature.
Nouns builder is a truly groundbreaking tool for anyone looking to spin up a new community. Unfortunately, existing communities have no easy way of joining the Nouns Builder Ecosystem.
Quick Example 1: The local chess club already has 20 members. (1) Create a new DAO on nouns-builder with a list of those 20 members; (2) Each chess club member can now freely claim an NFT from the DAO Token. (3) Auction runs as expected but first auctioned tokenID is 21;
Quick Example 2: The PFP project already has 1000 members. (1) Create a new DAO on nouns-builder with a snapshot of those 1000 token holders; (2) Each old token holder can now freely claim an NFT from the DAO Token. (3) Auction runs as expected but first auctioned tokenID is 1001;
Quick Example 3: An artist wants to do a pre-sale of the 100 NFTs before starting a continuous NFT auction. (1) Sell 100 tickets on the pre-sale; (2) Create a new DAO on nouns-builder with a snapshot of those 100 ticket holders; (3) Each old token holder can now freely claim an NFT from the DAO Token. (4) Auction runs as expected but first auctioned tokenID is 101;
When adding an easy way to seed a nouns-builder DAO with a list of members, we unlock a cambrian explosion of possibilities.
The Buzzed Bees DAO will be the first Nouns Builder DAO to use the Existing Communities feature. To seed the list of members, each Buzzed Bear holder will be able to claim a Buzzed Bee & gift a Buzzed Bee to a friend.
The claim process will allow claimers to donate ETH to help the bees. The highest donation during the claim period will receive the Queen Bee unique NFT.
The Buzzed Bear Hideout DAO will be set as a founder & receive 10% of the supply for the first 10 years.
Buzzed Bees DAO will be the first fully independent sub-DAO of the Buzzed Bear Hideout, a community-ran DAO created 1+ years ago.
From the Buzzed Bear Hideout Community we can support the Buzzed Bees DAO with:
- Production, storage & shipping infrastructure for the tshirt
- Smart Contract Development/Testing/Review
- Initial veto responsibilities for malicious proposals
- Any DAO-related maintenance/setup required (Twitter, Discord, Governance, etc...)
- An initial set of members that are very familiar with how DAOs work, and can hit the ground running
