Module 2 Journal Reflections

Write a draft of your professional story here as 1-2 paragraphs. Focus on answering the questions who are you, why are you here, and what's next? Consider how to talk about your motives and values, the turning points that led to your career change, and what you envision for yourself going forward.

What other steps will you take this week to update your branding or practice your story?

I have filled in a little more of my volunteer experince on LinkedIn, besides the recommended updates. While this is not the most critical section, my job interests are largely values-based, and I am inclined to think this could help set me apart and maybe even better my chances of securing an indeal role sooner as recruiters consider culture fits among applicants. I am going to reach out to a 3rd degree connection (and Turing alum) who I've heard recently accepted an opportunity to pursue the very sort of work which inspired her to begin programming. I've already gleaned insights and inspiration from her tech blog, and so admire the clarity with which she identified and is pursuing her personal mission as a developer.
