Please list the top 3-5 industries and companies you'll pursue in your job search as of right now. Why did you pick the industries/companies that you listed above? How do they relate to the values and goals you have for yourself in your job search?

I'm interested in pursuing companies which emphasize holistic health and improving circumstances, be it for their direct user(s) (could be an app / software product), a community, or the for the planet (in the environmental sector) Specific companies I've seen with recent openings I'd want to consider are

  • Checkr, which works to promote fair highering practices and reducing barriers to fulfilling careers for individuals carrying the shadow of past convictions or incarceration.
  • Patagonia, which while largely a retail company, is a B-corp and committed to conscious material sourcing, actively supporting projects and ambassadors engaged in environmental activism/conservation/rehabilitation efforts around the world.
  • Cirrus, MD., which is a telehealth application currently scaling in response to demand as they provide a platform enabling doctors and patients to communicate more directly, quickly and easily.

How does your LinkedIn currently reflect your goals and industry interests? What changes will you need to make to your LinkedIn to better reflect these?

My LinkedIn profile is currently still too reflective of my past life before Turing. I need to shake some imposter syndrome and make adjustments to highlight the technical programming skills I have been learning, and to feature the volunteer work I've done as those mentions will likely be the more relevant connections to the types of companies / values I am hoping to pursue.
