My goal for this project is to create a clear and consice schedule for completing tasks, and trying to stick to. I plan to journal my progress throughout the completion of the project, so if a new member were to join, they will have a clear understanding of all the steps that I took, and how I got to where we are currently.
I feel like I have a very passive collaboration style. I am more than happy to fill in any knowledge gaps that there may be, and I work to become the glue that binds the team together via constant communication, and ensuring that everyone's goals are aligned.
I will try to use my ability to self-examine to find ways to complete the project in a way that is conducive to someone else joining the team and easily understanding my logic and reasoning behind the decisions that I've made. That way, if I've reached something that is hard for me to fix, I can reach out to anyone and they would have a good understanding of my thought processes when viewing my code.
Schedule Expectations (When are we available to work together and individually? What constraints do we have?):
I will try to make myself available to work on the project every day of the week. I will schedule time to work with my mentor and possibly program around members of my cohort. I plan to block off Saturday as a day to relax.
I will clearly journal all of my design decisions as I work through the process of creating Number Guesser. I will be sure to try and journal every commit to Git.
I want to use this as an opportunity to improve on my understanding of semantic HTML, and also get a better handle on properly building in modular functions within JavaScript.
I plan to meet as many extensions as I can within the project! :)
Workflow Expectations (Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests/Debugging and Problem-solving Techniques):
I will try to have someone else review my code and give me a better understanding of how my work in progress looks. I want to be able to code the project in a way that is easy for any other develepor to understand.
Remain as receptive as possible to critiques, but I will also try to keep my main goals in mind as I complete the project.
Slack for reaching out for help by my peers/mentors. Git to keep track of all my commits. Personal Notes to journal all of my changes.
Get my semantic HTML completed. Start working on the CSS for the project.
I really appreciate that you put the level of detail into this that you did even though you're not currently paired; this is such great practice for setting expectations with other people. Nice work and thanks for being so thorough!
