Programing repeaters into the Beofang UV-5R

General Process

• Make sure radio is in "frequency mode" when programming anything
• 1st Channel will be the Calling Frequency
• 2nd Channel will be the Repeater Frequency

Find your local repeaters info.

• Install RepeaterBook App on your phone or visit RepeaterBook.com

Clear a channel

1. Press menu
2. Menu 28: Delete Channel
3. Press menu
4. Select the channel you want to clear.
5. Press menu (Confirmed)
6. Press exit

Program a channel

1. Key in your repeaters RECEIVING frequency. This is the frequency your radio will listen on. Freq repeater will transmit on.
2. Press menu
3. Menu 27: Memory Channel
4. Press menu
5. Select the channel your cleared.
6. Press menu 3 times

Program offset

1. Press menu
2. Menu 26: Offset
3. Press menu
4. Type in offset of the repeater.
5. Press menu
6. Menu 25: SFT-D
7. Choose either positive, negative or off
8. Press menu

Program Tones

1. Press menu
2. Menu 13: T-CTCS
3. Press menu
4. Select transmitting tone your repeater expects
5. Press menu
6. Menu 11: R-CTCS
7. Press menu
8. Select recieving tone your repeater expects

• You should now have everything setup. Save it to a channel.
