Copy iPhone GoPro files to Windows (over USB)

There is an option to save GoPro videos to Photos. Don't use this as it transcodes the footage (mp4 to mp4). Instead:

  1. Open video in GoPro app
  2. Click the three dots menu > info > captured on
  3. Share icon > Share > 3 dots > Save to files > GoPro
  4. Plug phone into PC
  5. Open iTunes > File Sharing > GoPro
  6. Drag and drop videos to the Blog Media day folder which matches the capture date. Small batches are better to get an idea of progress vs hanging.
  7. The iTunes window will show the + cursor until the copy operation is complete
