Copy iOS files to Windows (over USB)

I used this workflow to move bulky GoPro Footage to the PC. The iPad will he used for assembling preedited clips.

  1. Plug iPad into PC
  2. If desired, Accept offer to import photos & videos to Dropbox. Or choose Control Panel > Search > Autoplay > iPad
  3. Unlock the iPad and agree to all prompts to allow access
  4. Browse to the iPad drive
  5. Wait a while
  6. Browse to the DCIM folder
  7. Search for ".mp4" (GoPro format) or ".MOV" (iOS format)
  8. Files may now be manually cut and pasted
