git log visualization
# put this in your ~/.gitconfig, then issue `git lg` will get you a pretty git branch topology view
#
# this is just a start point, customizations can be done by further fine tuning referencing

#
# --graph draws the git commits tree
# --date=local is used in the following --format
#
# format explanation:
# %C(colorname)xxx%C(reset) encloses text `xxx` with color `colorname`

Better local require() paths for Node.js

Better local require() paths for Node.js

Problem

When the directory structure of your Node.js application (not library!) has some depth, you end up with a lot of annoying relative paths in your require calls like:

const Article = require('../../../../app/models/article');

Those suck for maintenance and they're ugly.

Possible solutions
