Module 4 Goals

  • I want to reach out to my top 6 companies and either get an interview or a rejection

Strategy To Achieve Goals:

In this section, break down your longterm goal into smaller goals that you want to work on each week and/or day

Coding (both including your module 4 curriculum and anything outside of it):

  • Since I'm going to pursue opportunities with the companies that I'm the most interested in I want to make sure that I am prepared for any techinical challenge that is thrown at me.

Opportunities Research:

  • Since I'm locking in on my top 6 companies I won't be looking for that many new opportunities. However, every time I get a rejection I'll make sure that I find at least 2 other companies that I'm interested so that I have a list to go after if I strike out with my top choices.

Cold Outreach/Network:

  • I will aim to reach out to 3 people at each of my top 6 companies (preferably a junior, a senior/manager, and someone in HR). If 3 is out of the question I'll make sure to reach out to at least 2 people.

Timeline:

What will you do when?

Module Tasks:

  • Alumni Workshop (ASAP)
  • Mock Interview (ASAP)
  • Reach out to a total of 24 people at top 8 companies

Weekly Tasks:

  • Technical: Interview Prep 4x a week (Sun/Tue/Thu/Sat) for 2 hours
  • Outreach: Reach out to 1 person at top 6 companies 3x a week (Mon/Wed/Fri)

What I Will Work on with Meg

  • I'd like to talk about the steps to take to turn cold outreach into a potential interview without coming across in a negative way
